0112th of the 12 Jyotirlings
The twelfth Jyotirling, located near Dwarka. Quick darshan possible in 15–30 minutes. No crowds, peaceful atmosphere. Special puja optional.
Tip: Reachable in 30–40 mins from Dwarka hotel. Ideal to visit in the evening on Day 1.
02Original Dwarkadhish Temple
The original, ancient Dwarkadhish temple on an island ~30–32 km from Dwarka city. Cars not allowed beyond parking — take a shared auto (INR 20) or full auto (INR 50). Leave mobile in a locker (INR 5) or in the taxi.
Tip: Start early at 7:30–7:45 am for a smooth visit. Queue for darshan takes ~30–40 mins.
031 of 4 Dhaam in India
The new Dwarkadhish temple in Dwarka city. Together with Beyt Dwarka, it constitutes one of the four Dhaam in India. Expect significant crowd; consider special entry passes from the official website or counter.
Tip: Park taxi at entrance and walk 10–15 mins or take an auto. Leave mobile and shoes in the car.
04Where Lord Krishna was struck
The sacred site where Lord Krishna was struck by an arrow by the hunter Jara, after which he began his departure from the mortal world. Very peaceful, no crowds. Mobile allowed inside.
Tip: Takes only 5–15 minutes. Visit before Dehotsarg Tirth and Somnath as it closes earlier.
05Krishna's final departure site
After being struck at Bhalka Tirth, Lord Krishna walked ~3–4 km to this riverside spot where he finally left his mortal body. His elder brother Balram also left the world here. Deeply sacred and very serene.
Tip: Only 5–10 mins from Bhalka Tirth and 5–10 mins from Somnath. Mobile allowed inside.
061st of the 12 Jyotirlings
The first and most revered of the 12 Jyotirlings, situated directly on the Arabian Sea shore. Free mobile locker inside. Aarti at ~7 pm followed by a sound and light show. Temple closes ~9 pm. Excellent place to spend the evening.
Tip: Last stop — stay as long as you want. Book Hotel Shivansh (INR 1,550) nearby. Or try somnath.org guesthouse 4–5 days in advance.

Practical advice from someone who just completed this trip to help you avoid common pitfalls.
Book a cab at least 1–2 days before you reach Rajkot. Since the temples close around 8–9 pm, any unnecessary delay at the airport jeopardises the Day 1 schedule.
CNG taxis are the lowest-cost option, but space is limited. Since it's a 2.5-day trip, one backpack per person should be sufficient.
CNG is sparsely available along the Gujarat highways. Your driver will make multiple refill stops. The time estimates in this guide already account for those stops.
Petrol was around ₹110–111/litre in Bengaluru at the time of this trip (Jul 2026). CNG costs listed are for a small sedan. Larger vehicles cost more.
Wear traditional clothes, decent shirt-pant, or t-shirt-jeans at all sites. Strictly no shorts, sleeveless tops, or revealing clothing anywhere.
Regular darshan at all 6 sites is free. VIP / special passes are optional but can save time at crowded sites like Dwarkadhish Dwarka. Buy only from official counters or websites.
Depending on buses, trains, and local autos will add at least 1 extra day, reduce flexibility significantly, and make the trip uncomfortable. A private cab is strongly recommended.
